This is a monthly magazine with articles about writing. It runs a monthly short story competition. It costs (about £3 for a short story) to enter, but has prizes of £300, £150, £100 for !st, 2nd 3rd places. It takes stories of any genre and offers an optional critique (for an additional cost).

This produces 3 quarterly magazines. Scribble is a short story magazines and Country Tales has a mixture of articles, poems and a few short stories. They cost £12 each for a years subscription. One subscription entitles you to free submission to any of the magazines. If you do not subscribe it costs £4 to send in a story. Payment in Scribble is for the best 3 stories in each magazine, as judged by the readers.
